Here is a 3"H amber glass gorilla which came in several colors as well as slag glass, and was named Sonny, from the mid-1990s by Boyd Glass of Cambridge OH. In pic #4 you can see the B in diamond imprint on his lower back

Gorillas have to be one of the most endeared animals on the planet.
So family oriented, this guy is a reminder of the "father" figure of apes.
      He's beautiful Jenni!

Great little piece here, it brings Koko to mind who was a very special being, I'd like to see the other colours they come in as I think a charcoal grey might be really nice and would look like a real gorilla I think! I also love how he looks, his pose makes him look like he's just discovered the biggest bunch of bananas there is and is sitting off so proud beside it! :)

Thanks so much for the love

You know Ken, he does look a bit like King Kong with the squarish head & swinging arms! Thanks for the super comment and observ here

Eileen many thanks for the lovely compliment & I agree about the gorillas, they are very endearing and zoo workers really love them, just saw a program where they baked one a birthday cake & he ate it!

Lauren I do remember Koko, nice thought, and I love the idea of him eating a bunch of bananas :) I am really glad you liked this, as I wanted to show everyone a new glass animal & have something different for a change. Great comment, thank you so much

MrsT I'm so happy you found my gorilla cute, many thanks for the kind words
