This 3"H x 4"W glass dolphin has a really nice blend of amberina (red-gold-orange) colors and is one of the window glass animals of the 70s-80s by Kanawha Glass of Dunbar WV with orig label

Eileen you're right, he is in a downward dive! When I found this I thought perhaps I already had this one in a different color (my avocado Rainbow Glass dolphin has a similar shape) but I never had Kanawha's so it was an exciting find. I really love that glass co, and they always did a lovely job with their amberina animals, thank you for the fabulous compliments
Right MrsT, he is a lively fish! You are so right they are super intelligent, they had a "swim with the dolphins" program at a hotel on one of our Hawaiian vacations (I did not partake as confess to being a non-swimmer, wish I knew how) and we went up close to their lagoon, they were jumping up and down and seemed to be showing off for us, so adorable and make cute sounds. This is a beautiful sculpture of a dolphin, it's so sleek and glassy and his pose makes him look like he's skimming the bow waves of a ship- which they do so effortlessly! His colour is unusual too, its very different from the usual blue you would expect a dolphin to be in. He sort of reminds me of some kind of fire dolphin from a hot and volcanic island, like Hawaii maybe? :P
