Hello CW Friends, Here is another find from a rummage sale. I found this 4 years ago at a tiny sale. These ladies only had hats, purses, scarves and jewelry. One table had fine jewelry and everyone was crowded there. I wandered to a table of costume jewelry with hardly anything on it, but sitting there was this At $2, what could I do? It was a must have for me almost at any price.. Now I exaggerate. I also stopped by the fine jewelry table and bought something there too:)
This dates from 1941. Design patent, attributed to A. Philippe, is number 125,162.
Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

Eileen, Ken, Raven3766 and all CW friends. I would love to go rummage sale shopping with you. The problem is. The sales are few and far between, as we all have lamented. I only know of one I would like to mention - a fabulous sale I used to go to in Chicago. This was 20 years ago, but I see online they still hold it. It was the fall Winnetka Community House Sale. It is held in an old school and each 'department' has a room. The jewelry room was huge. The same day the Kenillworth Union Church had its sale and that was awesome, too. Highly recommend both. Let's do a field trip! Best, Maureen

What a lovely Philippe clip, the drum type center and cascading stones are a lovely design. Thank you so much for that Winnetka house & Kenilworth church sale info, if I am ever in the Chicago area in the fall I will certainly look for those sales, your finds there are incredible - online this piece would probably be super costly!

Wow, what an awesome find! It’s funny how most people think that costume equals junk, but a lot of times may be worth more than fine pieces.

      Thanks Mrstyndall, I agree.
Eileen, I love your stories of Rummage Sales of yore. They sounded like they were so much fun. I can only remember a couple, athough my mother did also go antiquing on occasion.

      Thanks, Collectors, for the loves.

Hi Eileen, yes they call these fruit salad stones and they did make colors. You can see a bunch of different ones on the morning glory antiques website. I like the clear also, but I would take any I find.:)

Mary I can't love a post a second time, although when I see one I have loved I reflexively try to. I think you have to comment, that's what does it. So thank you!

six-o-one Thank you for the comment and love, too. I love finding old Trifari. I feel like I have stumbled on something that has an exciting history.
