I found this little beauty for 50 cents. Although I don't like to clutter my cabinets with too many little items (I hate dusting!) I couldn't resist. The crystal body of the vase was easily removable for a good cleaning and is in perfect shape. The silver stand was totally black when I got it and even after some intense effort to polish it, there are still some spots I have to work on.
The base has two marks but I cannot figure out what they are. I believe that the base is sterling. the metal is rather thin and the remaining spots are coming off; it just takes time. (The yellowish spots are reflections of the light in the room, not base metal shining through)
I am not sure what category this vase should go into. Any ideas?

The first mark looks like initials BS, can’t make out second
It's a really nicely cut vase, and with the silver base is really quite special I think.
50 cents? Wow.
Looks a bit trophy like to me.
