This along with the jeep I am about to post is my big purchase from the PCC Flea Market. He is the Sea Adventurer which is part of the GI Joe Adventure Team that started in 1970. Actually it started in 1969 with the Adventures of GI Joe but the flocked haired Joes did not appear until 1970. They have life like hair and beard you know.
The Sea Adventurer always came with red hair. The uniform was the same as the Action Sailor (photo #3) but with the shoulder holster and an AT Sticker on the shirt. This one I bought wearing the Marine uniform. It does have the Adventure Team dog tag.
I gave him a few extra weapons. He does look like a Marine who spent a few months on Guadalcanal.
Jeep coming right up.
His hair is in good shape, a lot of them suffered damage over the years. Good find.
