I got this M M trunk about 4 or 5 years ago, just completed it for my son and his soon to be wife on Aug. 30th and will be giving it to them for a wedding gift. I did the interior in the colors of there wedding, silvery gray and dark blue, instead of traditional reproduction lithographs, I made copies of some of there engagement pictures and put them in, I fabricated the interior as it had none and lined the bottom part in cedar so she could store her wedding dress if she chooses to, thanks for looking.

greendog, You do beautiful work. Your son and his betrothed are fortunate. :-)

Based on what little I've learned about this general style of antique trunk, that compartment on the right-hand side in the rear with the convex cover was originally designed to store a hat, was it not?
    13. greendog greendog, 3 months ago
Yes, Hat box or compartment, this one is somewhat altered, I put a jewelry or clove box in front of the hat box, most were not constructed this way, the jewelry or clove box was in the lid. and thank very much for your comment.

Do you ever refinish trunks for others? I have a Western Belle that I'd like to get refinished one day. FORREST@CFL.RR.COM
