    Above item was found in a friends grandfathers belongings. Having seen it and researching the Internet, I have not been able to locate it. I've been to "medals and pins" sites and groups. Any history or ideas would be appreciated thanks. Jerry.

      I would say it is a link out of a bracelet or necklace or ornamental chain. It definitely is not military.
