Enjoyed Sweden in June. Met dear friend Elisabethan, She gave me this lovely pewter cuff from Swedish designer Hantverkannas Tenn. The marks date it to 1978, my graduation year.

The 2nd picture is from the train Stockholm to Falun. We passed Orebro, I am sure I saw Elisabeth's house! (not by this lake, but pretty close!). Our destination was Falun. Enjoyed the Delarna county museum with beautiful wall paintings.
A wonderful trip, and so great to meet Elisabeth. 8/22/19
Sounds like a wonderful adventure!
Yes it was! Thank you.
Gorgeous bracelet, lovely delicate floral etching. What a lovely gift! Sweden looks really beautiful & peaceful in your photo, so wonderful that you got to meet Elisabeth & your trip sounds great
I am happy you liked the bracelet and your trip!
I was born in Dalarna so it is fun you even went there on your ambitious travels! In the wallpaintings, particularly in the left one, you can see the painted flowers that are typical for Dalarna called Kurbits. They grew popular around 1790 and first they were used on furniture and later also used on wallpaper and souvenirs like Dalahästar (wooden carved and painted hourses). I have a bridal chest with Kurbits on it that is from my mothers home.

Pewter is so underrated lovely item. Neil
Such a beautiful gift from Elisabethan. Sounds like you had a wonderful time in Sweden.
A lovely memento from a lovely trip!
So many nice comments!
Jenni - thanks, Sweden was very peaceful except for Stockholm. Bicycles everywhere, lots of tourists, busy museums....very exciting place. I liked the smaller towns and cities we stayed at, and will sneak some more travel pix in as they relate.
Neil - so true! I am a fan :-)
Scott - yes I love it, bracelets are my thing, thanks :-)
Plein-air-painter - thank you, was a trip of a lifetime - many great memories :-)
Elisabeth - I loved the Falun Delarna county museum. 3 galleries of Delarna paintings and a small cottage with original paintings all around and on the ceiling too. Would love to see your painted bridal chest. There was also an exhibit on those carved and painted horses. :-) Very cool town.
