      Ted_Straub, Cool. :-)

A pity that the patent number isn't apparent.

I wonder whether a similar style of vent (perhaps larger) wasn't used on that Buffalo City Hall building that you posted about some months back.

Ted, that picture doesn't enlarge for some reason, so I can't make out the wording on it. Also would be curious to see another pic showing this item more 'in context' on its building -- is it this older one, or the newer looking complex on the opposite corner?

AnythingObscure, I've had that trouble with Google Maps myself on occasion. It looks fine at first, but then when I go back to look at it, I get a picture of Earth way out in space. >8-0

What seems to work for me: go to the address or latitude/longitude coordinates I want, and then use their little share menu to create one of those gobbledy-gook-looking Google links, rather than just copying and pasting the URL in the address window. Now that I'm talking smart, let's see if it works for me this time, e.g.:

OK, that link still looks good now that I've posted it on CW S&T, but the puzzle is: where's the building with the vintage, patented fresh air inlet?

I don't see any building at that intersection with the kind of foundation seen in Ted_Straub's picture. Neither can I find a building with the name Luksic there.

There IS a Luksic Hall at King College in Wilkes-Barre PA:

But that isn't close to that intersection.

      Help us, Ted. :-)

Hello all, I will try to get a better picture of this item by next week, and i will post it then.

The older brick building where the florist is the Luksic Building. The contrast is poor, and you can barely make out the letters in its capstone. Again, i will try for better pictures of the capstone, the drain, and its position on then building.

Thank you all for your interest in this item, and the neighborhood that it resides in!

D'oh! There it is "LUKSIC BLDG 1918":

I was looking for signage at street level; I never thought to look that high up. :-)

I like that brickwork right below the capstone. We have a building in my town that has a border like that.
