Beautiful antique hardwood birthing chair. I've done a lot of research and I still have a lot to learn. I think the wood is either douglas fir or heart pine but I would really appreciate confirmation or correction on that. I also know these were used in different countries from spain and africa to ireland so any input on country of origin is welcomed. I have dated it mid 1800s, but again this is all self taught so if you know better please let me know.
