Looks like hand painted porcelain. Thrift shop find over the weekend. Paid 3.99 for it. Not sure of it's age or origin. Very detailed. What a lot of patience it must take to create a tiny little painting. No markings on it that I noticed. Any knowledge about this piece Broochman?

If this is hand painted, it could be a Fragonard piece! If so, you are very lucky indeed. Fragonard (1732-1806) painted over 500 portraits, and romantic scenes. The painted scenes on the brooches are little replicas from his wonderful paintings. Not sure when these were made, maybe 60’s or 70’s, but that’s just a guess. There are even trinket boxes with his work. If it’s a transfer and not painted, the value is less, but still a lovely piece.
