    This 2 3-4"W black enamel tiger brooch has golden stripes, fierce green rhinestone eyes and a double set of fangs, on goldtone. By Les Bernard (1936-1996), this piece ca 1970s

      Very unusual little tiger here, at first glance I thought it was a panther. I think the black tiger is a very unusual colour for a tiger to be, I like his pose- it makes him look all the more fierce some, like he's just been caught snooping though the jungle and is getting ready to pounce

      Thanks Karen for the wonderful comment, the big bright green eyes really do make this piece, I normally like more rhinestones than enamel but this was so predatory that I "jumped" at this one when I saw it

      Yes Lauren, I did see a panther here too, I think black is just a designer choice, although there are white tigers with shadowy black stripes so could be :) It really looks on the prowl right, very much the jungle cat! Thank you for the lovely comment always
