This model 553-38 vase was produced in West Germany during the 1960s (between 1966 and 1969) by Scheurich.
On vases by Scheurich the second number at the bottom, in this case number 38, is always the height in centimeters. The first number is a model number. A model could be decorated in many different ways.

If you're not familiar with this type of pottery, take a peek on-line under Schurich. Aka WGP. Mid-century modern. Very popular and some are very costly. Nice find!
