Unique penny scale, in working condition giving precise weight. I have been trying to find this company online "MFD. By Public Scale Co. Chicago, ILL" and I have had no luck. If you have any info on this company please feel free to share in the comments. Thanks.

established 1931
President-E.H. Funke

If there's any Patent numbers on your Scale, you could look up those also.

Thank you Bill! You were able to get a lot of info. I will try finding the patent number. What website or resource did you use to find the company info (If you don't mind me asking)?
I can see the frustration with the side ways pictures.
I clicked the "Edit this item" button and tried to find an edit button on the pictures but I couldn't locate it. I also rotated the photo from my computer then uploaded again to see if it changed anything but it didn't.
That's ok, but if you go to help, on the site, they'll show you how to rotate your photos! :^D
I just did a google search for Public Scale Co. Chicago, ILL, and then another for "When was Public Scale Co. Chicago, ILL in business" and found a page from a published book of "Chicago Companies 1931", something like that anyway, it also said they had $25,000. reserve.
I'll see if I can find the report again! :^)

It's not an established date, the Report is:
Certified List of Domestic and Foreign Corporations for the Year 1931
For Chicago, Ill.
If you scroll down to Public Scale Co. you'll see the info.
The Report full title is at the top of the report, with the 1931 date.
This was all I could find, but with this you should be able to find more if you need! :^)
Thank you for the research Bill. I tried finding more out about their scales but can't find much. I think the next step would be locating the patent number and finding a resource to look it up.

It's an article about E.H. Funke and The Public Scale Company, I didn't read it all but it looks like it will help some! :^)
If you search E.H. Funke Public Scale Company Arcade, it might help, I found a 1917 Patent for E.H. Funke for a Scale Case, he was an important man for The Arcade Gaming Industry Organization! :^)
