Love this so much! It's so simple and elegant, to me it looks like a little fish with his long tail curled back on him, or even the top of a sabre of some kind- the pommel maybe?! :P

Ken THANK YOU for the date and other info on this, I was hoping you would recognize this Philippe, got this a couple yrs ago off rl & don't recall if the seller knew the date at the time, just that it was a Philippe. So glad you enjoyed this & yes it does look fresh & amazingly well kept
Lauren your fish idea is spot on, I so admire your creative mind - I can totally see a fish tail and will go one further, in ballets like Sleeping Beauty there is a pas de deux where the ballerina dives into her partner's arms & raises her leg like a fish, also called a fishtail dive which this also reminds me of! Great comment & really appreciate it!
