    Still trying to put names with faces so many of the same people, just most you can't read the pencil scribbles on the back.. these people are all from his side of family. This one is hard and on like a hard piece if plastic or maybe metal. Not sure, what year you think this is?

      It is called a tintype. The name is a misnomer as it is actually on a sheet of iron.

      Based on the clues (no case, clipped corners, clothing, backdrop), I would date it to the late 1870s- 80s.
