My latest find is this nicely detailed rabbit still bank. Though it's painted white, it is made of copper. I was really impressed with the fine detail on this one, from his eyes down to his paws. He is a two piece design held together with two screws, one in the front and one in the back (visible in pics #3 and #4 ).
I'm really not sure why anyone would want to paint this copper rabbit, and I'm not even sure if the paint is original to it. I personally would have preferred the copper, which produces a nice patina over time. But, I'll let him remain untouched.
I'm not sure of the age of this one, but, from the looks of him. I'm apt to believe he's no older than the 1960's, possibly 1970's.He measures 6" tall, 6" deep and 3 1/2" wide. I'm unable to locate any markings to indicate who the manufacturer was.
Thanks for stopping in for a look!!
