Bought this thinking this was an older Boy Scout Knife due to the shield shape badge. But that is not quite the shield shaped badge used on the older Boy Scout knife. I should have known better as the Delrin handle would not be on a knife that old ie pre 1940.
Anyway this is still a fine knife which I believe it is Stockman's knife. Possibly a model 18. Either that or the 18 on the blade stands for something else but I am thinking it is the model number.
Dates are all over the place but 1970s seems to be the earliest up to 2008. Camillus went out of business in 2008.
A man is not dressed without a pocket knife they say and this would be a fine choice.
It's close Brian, just not quite the Acorn shape, that the older Boy Scout knives have! :^D I would've bought it, at the right price, and added it to my others! Thank you for showing! :^)
The tang stamp on your knife was used from the late 1970's into the 80's.

fortapache, the right slant of the letters in the word CAMILLUS is what dates it. Your tang stamp ended in 1989 so at least you have an accurate era to date the piece. Not a boy scout knife but nonetheless still a collectable knife.
Thank you again fhrjr2. It is good that it is still collectible as it is a nice looking knife. Is the 18 on the other side of the blade the model #?
I am not at all sure if it is a model number, item number or knife design number. Each of their knives were numbered and each number was a different knife. For instance the #20 is also a two blade knife but the blades are on opposite ends and both the same length. I never really thought much about it when I was collecting them for my son but you pose a good question.
Thanks for sharing your knife. It is a jack pattern with a clip (with a long pull) and pen blade. A stockman would have three blades (usually a clip, blade, pen blade and spey blade). I would say yours dates to the 60s or 70s.
