This glass stamp damper is 3 inches long by 1.5 inches deep by 2 inches high. The base holds a small amount of water. The round part has a slightly roughened surface so that it holds the moisture as it is turned around.

Really neat glass damper downer! Used for envelopes? Wouldn't a stamp be difficult to get off the roller?

I tried using it and the stamp peels off easily. With the growing use of self adhesive stamps, items like this are almost obsolete. I noticed our local post office uses a damp piece of flat sponge on a saucer.
