    Hello everyone!!
Lately, we've been packing away some of my collectibles to place in storage. Before packing away my Pierre Chenet bronze hare sculptures, I thought they'd make a great pic grouped together. These have all been posted on CW, at one time or another, but I felt them worthy of a re-post. The all range in size from 4" tall to 14" tall. These are all solid bronze sculptures.

For anyone who is not familiar with Pierre Chenet's sculptures, I'll give you the short version of his history. He is an artist from northern France who has created magnificent bronze sculptures since the early 1970's. He uses his own technique, known as "acid patina" which gives his bronzes a unique color. Each sculpture is unique by its color. So, no two are ever alike. The bronze is usually stamped with the "Crown" of his own foundry.

Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!!!

    Scott

A hare less than one year old is called a "leveret" .... not a "bunny" :)

Fantastic hare family, M. Cheney was so talented as to the detailed designs, they're all beautiful Scott. Sad to put them away, we just moved & I know the feeling

      redenijkstra,
Thanks very much! So sorry to hear that you had to sell your Taureau chargeant. I always hate parting with anything in my collection, but sometimes when the time is right, I'll sell a piece to let someone else enjoy for awhile.

      Thanks Jenni!!
He's a very talented indeed. I agree that the detailing is incredible, especially the little one in front (I have two of those in my collection). We change things around in our home now and again. So, we'll pack up items and take to our climate controlled storage and bring other items out of storage to display for a while. I would absolutely dread moving. We have far too many things to pack. So, I think we'll stay put:)
