Back in the 1980s when I was still in school, I traded for this, what I thought would make a great go cart. We started the conversion and got as far as a 5hp engine, chain drive and disc brake before a real car made me lose interest. Its been sitting on the shelf for over 20 years. I'm being told it was a 1940's carnival ride. There are 2 buttons on it where the kids could buzz and make noise so that makes sense... Anyone know more about this thing? Im looking for history, value or someone who could use it......LOL Im 40 years old and 6'6" tall.. Wont make me much of a go cart now....

Nope, just trying to find out what I have and if it's worth anything. Sorry if it seemed otherwise

Did you change any of the frameworks? can't tell without seeing the underside, you may have damaged it beyond repair.......most folks want these in 'original' condition. Post some pics of the bottom and we may have more info for you.

I drilled a couple small holes in the rear end of the frame to support the axle and engine. We also cut hole in the firewall to make it possible for larger kids to drive the go cart. Nothing terrible.....
