I posted these before, but for some reason they are not showing up in my archives?
So for those who have seen them already, my apologizes. For those seeing them for the first time, the clarinet is 4 inches long, with ruby red navettes, one baguette and a pear shape stone for the “mouthpiece”, along with pink chatons of different sizes, in a gold setting. I have only seen one other in my day, and it was made with pastel stones, but it was missing the baguette and “mouthpiece”. :(
The saxophone I am on the fence about being D & E. Same gold setting, joint & catch pin mechanism, along with beautiful prong set stones. If you think about it, these two look to be by the same maker. I had the clarinet confirmed by two people, but I’m always on the lookout for the “real” answers to these two pieces...any ideas? ( for now I’ll leave the clarinet as D & E )
ENJOY!
So wonderful! Love them Eileen :)
Really nice! So, how many do you have and are there any missing?
Gorgeous photos show how beautiful that clarinet looks, total bling !~

Hello Eileen got your message but dont know if you would get mine if I were to answer you through my post sooo here I am lol. Sorry you did not find the dog was it yours or did you just hear one whining ? There are lots of places with old iron just rusting away I know where there are some great cars and the people will not sell a piece
Are you doing anything today whatever you do hope you have fun
Fantastic and cool!
Hi Ken,
No they are not. But Karla Wacker’s website holds just a small percent of D & E.
I was told by the seller the clarinet was verified by a friend of hers that has an incredible collection of D & E. She told the seller that she has only seen one other, in all her years of collecting, and it was in pretty bad shape. Then I saw one on Etsy, which ( like I said above) it was missing the pear shaped stone on the end, ( mouthpiece). I asked the seller on Esty where she found it, and she told me her Mother bought it in an antique store in New York many years ago, which the store owner had told her it was D & E. ( pretty specific answer) This is ALL HEAR SAY, so who knows?
Until we spot another, and get more info, your guess is as good as mine. I tend to believe the clarinet and sax were made by D & E, just not the Juliana line. One can hope, right? Ha!
