Not quite what this is called or who made it but it is perfect for my mad scientist laboratory. I believe it is a boiling flask and the appendage is called an arm. Mad am I? I'll show you who's mad! OK it's me.
The flask is 10" tall and the arm is 6" long. My guess is that the flask boils and something is supposed to be separated and drip down the arm separating the A from the B and all that. Very important in fiendish experiments.
Free bonus photo of some of my other flasks. Also some test tubes and other items.
Have a few more Halloween items coming up. There is at least one monster model and an actual cauldron.

You are correct on the concept, it's called a Distilling Flask. Used to separate liquids with different boiling points. Fairly large sized one too.

Yep....building on Toryebel's remark...an Engler Distilling Flask With Sidearm, round bottom, straight mouth, sidearm tubes are sealed at an angle of 75° from the neck. I used them long ago in an oil refinery lab for distillation of petroleum products and oils.
