Here's another small fellow from the 1890's being an Ornate Leather Flat Top Trunk and what I would call rare. Measures in at 27" L x 18" D x 19" Tall. No maker label, Paper interior & missing original tray. 1892 Eagle lock. First time to encounter one of these Ornate Flat Top Trunks. Having the bottom die cast wheels was interesting as it's not big nor heavy being this size.
I really love this trunk. The hardware is fantastic!!
Not usually a big fan of flat tops because most are just to plain and not very interesting to me, but I really like this one, you don't see them to often with all the cast hardware, I think it will look great refinished, very cool trunk, great find Tom.
