Don't let it inspire you to start drinking. You look far too young for that !

there was a lot of misery about this theme, because art critics thought that the suicide of ophelia (Millais and de Laroche) was glorified, which was a misunderstanding

aka the John RuskinPre-Raphaelite polemics which started from 1850 tees till nowadays

That's interesting information. I thought that it was just a print of some attractive woman of the time. Is this actually an image of the lady in the water from the Shakespeare play, Ophelia?

the whole discussion is what they academically call a paradigma fallacy
first of all this aint Ophelia , but Ophelia got customized on products and people did not understand Shakespeare they romanticize events as being idiosyncratic which they are not , its its about human flaws and there destruction

the second paradigma fallacy is burke versus dickens about death and the significance of art ,and the later connection which is bs , because the discussion starts in 1850 i think , and the spleen literature starts 40 years later

its just art , people see things that dont exist, you like it or dont like it , some people act like you nee a phd in psychology to love art well thats a misunderstanding , i bought a fourfaced buddha for 12 dollar , why because i like it , thats all

Again thank you for educating me and for using terminology that even an Arborist can understand. You are quite knowledgeable, helpful and kind. I appreciate your help.
