It's BONE!
This looks like a wastebasket but it's almost too fancy to be one and it's actually made of bone. The little bone fragment tiles are cut and ground precisely and then overlaid on wood. I don't know if it would truly have cost $645. but I did see some that are priced up in that range. I believe that made these in Delhi India.
It looks almost like it was designed by the same people that built Machu Picchu.
