The Pharoah is a popular design by Mexican artisans starting in the 1930's. Earrings, pins, cufflinks like my 7/8" x 1" cufflinks. These are marked JV hecho en Mexico 925. Mixed metals of brass and sterling with black stone and green eyes. There are some examples online right now. Naturally the best is original 30's. Another listing w/same JV hallmark is said to be 1950's. That's what I think I have. Best-selling designs were copied over the years. How special are these? Well....they aren't a facing pair, but that wouldn't have been important for cufflinks. I love them since I'm an Egyptomania nut :-)

Fabulous pair of cufflinks Mary, those faces with the green eyes are mesmerizing! The Mexican sterling artists were really talented, and I think these have an excellent likeness of a pharaoh (King Tut perhaps?) Great find

      Thanks Ken for first love.

Jenni - yes, must have been because of the 1922 King Tut craze.

I would wear these, if I ever wore French Cuff long sleeve shirts . . . but I still love them! :^D I always love the mixed metals designs, dress them up, or down, they work! Thanks for posting my #1 Mary! :^)

AnythingObsure - thank you for your love.

Dear friend Bill - I know, I keep looking for the right french cuff shirt! Meanwhile collecting the Mary-priced cufflinks :-) My top themes are Birds and Egyptomania! Doesn't matter how tacky, I'm a sucker if they have charm.

These are super cool & I'd gladly wear them as I do have some French cuff shirts! Loved all things ancient Egyptian since I was a kid, in fact when I was about 10 I decided that I wanted to be mummified & buried with all my stuff just like a pharoah...yes, I was an oddball from an early age... :-)

      Timeless design.I love them!

IronLace - that's great! I know I can find the right shirts, just have to hunt a bit because cufflinks are very cool. No, not an oddball - but a thoughtful kid -) Wait, all your amazing glass? Please no! I want to be wrapped in a beautiful quilt or velvet, embroidered fabric, buried in a park (yes, it can be done) with a natural flat paver stone that says "It took me longer than I thought it would" true in almost everything I do :-)

Ivonne - yes, timeless. I love them too, thank you! Great price and from a very nice online seller.

Thanks friends - Hel1 and Thomas!

valentino97 - that sounds like a beautiful, dignified plan indeed. As for me, I'll become at one with my garden when the time comes. I dare say that a pharoah - style burial would be rather difficult to arrange in this day & age...but at 10 years old it seemed pretty cool. Back then, I didn't have much glass (just one paperweight, which I've still got) so my loot would have been toys, books, & the stuff I was collecting back then - novelty erasers, stickers (they were in books with waxed pages), keyrings, beads, & buttons. Well, we've all got to start our collecting journey somewhere...
As to the shirt, custom made is always a nice option if your budget allows. Then you can get it made exactly how you want.

IronLace - I wonder if the Mom or relatives of the deceased Pharoah said "hey, really do you have to put that key ring in there too?" I bet they did - but hey, it's good to be king. I have to start thinking about selling or giving away. I'm older than most Pharoah were LOL.

Thanks friends Maureen, Malkey and Hunter for your loves.
