Sadly Obscura Antiques and Oddities in NYC is going out of business. I have never been there but use to watch the show Oddities which was about that shop. Most of the items featured were taxidermy are some variation there of. When I watched I would often say "oh yeah I've got one of those". So I have my share of oddities. Currently I am in a toy phase but will still pick up an oddity/taxidermy item now and then. I tend to go through phases where there are certain items I am looking for.
I think most of these but not all have had a post in CW. Several of the butterfly collections in the first post still have not had their own post. Deer in the rear in #2 has not and neither have the pair of quails in #2.
In the meantime farewell to Obscura Antiques.
