Japanese vintage porcelain dinnerware, in the typical serving type of many side dishes, which together form a very pleasing assortment of shapes and decors. Of course you will always have a pair of shopsticks and a small porcelain rest for them to lay on.

The fine porcelain decor is also typical underglaze blue, and gold over glaze, with yellow and red enamel motifs and accents in their sparse manner. Acquired directly from a Japanese seller many years ago, I got two of them.

      So Japanese and lovely Lisa!
The shape and the delicate painting, with birds, appeals to me so much.

Thanks Karen, same thing here, that culture is full of examples of humble but beautifully designed things. Hope you are well. :-)
