Painting measures 11 X 14 in a heavy frame and very dirty. Signature is very hard to make out. Any help would be apprecitated.

can you take clear pics of the whole thing front and back with frame? also clear close-ups of the signature would help alot.
You need closeup pictures of the back of the painting because that is you can date the painting. I can't tell if the canvas or board is anchor by nails, the stretcher keys do look old but canvas is not showing much age.
