Shaw's Supermarket got it's start in Portland Maine in 1862. This letterhead is dated March 31 1888. Great Prices!!! You can see the name in the window. They were brought out by Brockton Public Market (BPM) in 1919. There's a Shaws 1/4 mile down the road from me. It used to be a BPM til they changed the name back to Shaw's in the 70's
