Hi all. Bought this lamp approximately 6 years ago. Was told it’s Czech but no one seems to know if it’s Loetz or Hosch? Can anyone confirm this please. Also date of manufacture if possible.
I paid $400au for it. To much?

There are many versions of these lamps, made by more than 2 glass producers. The decor is what we call Tango, you have a larger sized one, made during Art Deco period. 1915-1935 or so.
Keramikos The lamp in your link is not identical to the lamp above posted by Shano. In fact there are several differences.
Keramikos, this is one of the many instances when one source, similar at that, was not enough to make a strong attribution.
None of the lamps shown have the same shape or decor. The black enamel mentioned is tarnished silver. Orange was the most popular color of the Tango trend started in 1914 by Loetz, and deemed part of the Art Deco movement, the beginning of it, in Europe.
There are dozen of lamps that were made after WWI, some were sold by wholesalers Palda and Hosch, some were made and sold by Ruckl, Kralik, Riedel, etc. etc.
The reference books we have today have catalog pages of them. They do have similar styles, with matching glass shade and lamp body in several sizes.

Hi folks. Thankyou for your comments but it seems that none of us can be sure of my lamps maker! Loetz or hosch? Mind you I’m not fussed at all,just be good to know! I have heard before that it’s possibly 1930’s so probably Art Deco period. Do you all think that it’s worth the $400AU I paid for it sometime back? I DO NOT want to sell it,again just curious. The links to the pictures you folks sent me show some magnificent looking lamps,I’m jealous. Want those too
