    I got this from my dad and believe it was handed down to him. I have no history on it and not sure where it was made. I hope someone can tell me something about it.

      Can't tell you to much about it other than it's a pinfire revoler,there should be some proof marks on it some where. I was probley made in the late 1800's in France or Belgium.

      Gundoc1 - thanks for the reply, more than I knew before. There are some markings, cant tell what they are but will try to get some close up pic's of them.

      Made by LEFAUCHEAUX in Belgium in the mid 1800s. I think they took a 9mm pin fire round. Thats a regular bullet, but with a small pin sticking out of the side at the base of the cartridge. The hammer would hit the pin and... bang! Used during the civil war. It came in many different types, including a 20 shot revolver, and even a few rifle types with long barrels and a wooden stock. A few fancy engraved examples are out there.
      Nice gun. Probably increasing in value.
