U wanna great treat? Slice some spam very thin and fry both sides crispy so it breaks and use as a bacon substitute on a BLT and u will never go back to bacon.
I grew up poor During the war and we ate lot of Spam in the 40s.
My very first meal when I moved to Honolulu was a breakfast of Spam, scrambled eggs and white rice at the only restaurant I could find open early on a New Years Day morning!
I think more Spam is eaten in Hawaii than anywhere else.
I grew up eating Spam and love it fried crispy but still soft in center of the slice, and served with homemade Mac and cheese.....so good!
Your post is so cute with the carved Spam turkey!
I hope you put it on a platter as a table centerpiece tomorrow!

When we were Kids we used to go Smelt fishing by Bakers Chocolate Factory in the Lower Mills Dorchester Ma. You could still smell the chocolate and we cooked Spam and Smelt on one of those fold up Sterno Stoves!!!
