This 3"W silvertone brooch is of a mother and baby cheetah with gold enamel spots and light green rhinestone eyes. The cub moves on a spring. By St John founded 1962, this brooch ca '90s

Awh- I love the look in mother cheetah's eyes, it's as if she's just noticed a photograph is being taken of her and her baby and seems to be glancing back almost wistfully or proudly maybe? And the wide eyed look on the little cheetah is very sweet!

Lauren thank you so much for the lovely words about these cheetahs and bringing them to life for me! I do see the expressions of alertness in the mom's eyes and the wistful look in the baby's. It was nice for me to find a cheetah brooch, a different wildcat and a favorite of mine
Thank you Eileen for the great compliments, you know this brooch also came in goldtone and I bought that one too, the spots on that one were brown and "harsher" so I chose to post the silver with gold spots. Problem with these cheetahs, the metal is so shiny it can reflect black at different angles when the silver is nice and unblemished
