I love this little brooch- I think it's my favourite item of your posts this week! His colours are so nice, very like a party theme maybe? :P I adore his pose too- I can see him sitting on a branch in the jungle combing his wing feathers and very VERY proud of them!
This is a new designer to me too. It is so colorful and well done! Very pretty

Thanks Lauren for the super compliments and insight, yes, this cockatoo certainly has a party look to it and it is something you could call "very 80s" with its bright disco colors! He does look as if he could be preening on a branch too, he would certainly get noticed!
Eileen thanks so much for the lovely praise, found this designer's jewelry while looking at a birdie website then researched her, she mostly did 80s pieces and this was one of her prettiest. She has the cockatoo head tilt down, birds are always observing in just that position, and the colors are so cheery

One of this would be wonderful if a parrot themed restaurant would have the waiters wearing these beauties, we have an Earls restaurant chain restaurant where such should occur !~
Phil that is a fantastic thought, we used to have a Rainforest restaurant that was like the Amazon jungle inside, I could totally see the servers wearing this bright birdie!! Lucky you to have Earls, sounds like a great place. Fabulous comment thank you so much!

The restaurant has a large neon parrot outside and continues with hung parrots on the inside. Truly would be wonderful to see these parrot pins worn to best advantage. I think it was a few years back....

Phil that's a terrific story about the Earls parrot statue placed on top of the bridge, how ever did they get a 90 lb statue way up top!! It must've given drivers a big smile. They think students were the pranksters, thanks for sharing this fun happening
