Hello all! I found this vanity in a house I recently bought. I have a bed frame and matching dresser. I also found the original receipt for it, from 1948. They paid $330. Took him a year payments to get it. When I was little my grandmother had a similar set. I got it when she passed away in 1996. But through the years it got lost. I was always disappointed I lost it. But yay I have this one now to remind me of her. So many years later. Thanks for looking!

I’ve always loved the big mirrors that were attached to vintage furniture. A nice vanity from back in the day.

I had one just like this that belonged to my mother in law. She got it when she got married at the end of world war two. I gave the vanity away but for some reason I think I still have the mirror in the back room. Look at the back of yours and see if there are marks where two legs would have been attached behind it. I am curious if I am right that this is the same item.

The off-center placement of the drawer pulls is odd. Do you think they are original to the piece?

Fhrjr2, I can take a picture and update the post later today. If I remember correctly when I moved it here. It has two wooden legs that screw to the vanity to secure it to the base.

Watchsearcher, i have the matching dresser. I'll have to see the placement of the handles. But i think it might of came like that. Or have been that way since it was bought. Thanks for your comments.
