Thought this was a most unusual shape for an oil lamp. Always been fond of thorn vases and have acquired a number of examples through the years. Maker is currently unknown. I believe it is Bohemian produced for the English market. The burner knob is stamped, Made in England. It is possible the hardware was replaced at a later date. The apricot-pink glass colour can be seen on other examples of Bohemian glass more so than English art glass, imo. As you will see from the 3rd photo, the oil lamp matches nicely with my floriform clock. The last photo is of another similar example with an applied floriform that can be easily identified as Bohemian with the floriform shape.

When I purchased this oil lamp, it had an applied vaseline branch on the font that was attached on each side of the thorn vases. Thankfully, it can be repaired, as it was a clean break. I knew when I bought it, there was an applied leaf or possibly an applied flower missing on the font. Thought it was forgiving because I have never seen anything like it. Sometime this year I hope to follow up with another posting when I find a lamp shade to match.

Have you tried to date the burner? It may be that the glass was produced for an English buyer and the hardware was added in the UK.

Thank you, IronLace, TreasureTex, and Slpprs for sharing your splendid compliments with this oil lamp. I truly appreciate your kind sentiments. Makes me feel very gracious to be in such wonderful company with those who share the same interests.

Hi, Duda! I did look to see if I could find any information with the "Made in England" stamp on the burner knob, and found there's nothing to offer as far as a manufacture. From my understanding the "Made in England" mark usually dates after 1921. So for this reason, is why I mentioned the hardware could have been replaced at a later date because it's hard to believe the glass was produced 1921 or after. Given it's an opinion and opinions can change. Thanks, so much for asking a very good question. I agree it's possible the oil lamp is very well Bohemian, produced for the English market.

Very THANKFUL to EVERYONE who gave some LOVE too! :)
