When i was in New England last week, i helped my sister pick out some furniture for her new river house - across the Connecticut River from us. We found these four Hitchcock chairs in great paint and the table too at an antique mall in Chester, VT. I think the paint is very old. what do you think?

Great Chairs!! Do they have chalk signatures on the bottom of the seats?? I'm putting up a pair of Hitchcock chairs.

They are certainly Hitchcock style chairs. Perhaps late Hitchcock or after he went bankrupt the last time before he died. See my post on you gottahavestuff's chairs to see my reference to Hitchcock.
thanks stuff and fhrjr2! i see so many hitchcock chairs that i only pay attention to the ones i like the colors / painting on. i didn't see any chalk marks on these. the colors didn't come out very well in my photos. the orange is a really nice color.
