I have a few Christmas postcards that were mailed to the same Miss Sadie Garner in Bladen Nebraska. Her future son saved them until he got old and lost his memory. I want to share them with anyone else who might find that they are getting old much faster than they wish.
The good old days are here in our faces, let's enjoy them while we can. God's love to you all.

I see Santa has a basket of fruit, maybe? I remember when I was a small child, our Christmas stockings would have an apple, an orange and a handful of nuts (still in the shell) and a peppermint stick or hard candy.

Now, the kids get all kinds of small gifts in their stockings....does anybody get fruit and nuts anymore? :^)

I was looking at that basket full. I thought it might be eggs or bread but what you are saying makes more sense.
