Aret was a series of twelve wall plaques issued by Nymolle in the mid 70’s, I think. In 1946, Björn Wiinblad was recruited by Jacob E. Bang to Nymølle Ceramic Factory. It was there that he produced pen and ink drawings which were transferred to bowls, plates, tiles and trivets like these. Aret or the Year was one of Wiinblad’s most successful designs there. The twelve pieces follow the development of a young couple over a one year period. I have four pieces, two are duplicates of October, and then November and December. Depicting the month of Oktober, the image is entitled "Paradis." November is “Optimisme” and December is “Mirakel”.
