This is part of a collection of standard gage trains that have been in my family for a long time. This is a power station, I think, with the sign reading "Dennisport Power Co". I'm guessing this might be as old as the late 1920's, but likely from the 1930's. I also have a train station which is about 4 times bigger that is similarly constructed, but not in as good of shape. Based on the similar windows and stucco exterior, I believe they are of the same vintage. I'd like to figure out more information on these pieces and get pictures/drawings of what they looked like new, assuming they were actually sold and not custom/home made. I've not had much luck searching on-line, so I'd appreciate any ideas on how to research further. Thanks!

A very COOL, if also abused, thing!! :-) :-) :-) What's with all that kinda unexplainable miscellanious electrical claptrap in there, and is that really a dead rodent too?? <eww>
Welcome to CW anyway, flyboy! :-) :-) :-)

No rodents. A street light is in there that is not part of that piece. Other electrical stuff includes wiring and switches. I think it was intended to house a transformer.
