I do not believe that the w-1495 is a date code but rather some sort of mold number or other identifier for the glass manufacturer. The date code is on the bottom of the bottle represented by 14, I in an o , and 1. I in an O is the mark from the Owens -Illinois Glass Company. They would have made the bottle at the glass plant in Bridgeton, NJ which is represented by the number 14. The number 1 represent the date, that being 1941. The number 5 is a mold number. Duraglass was introduced by Owens Illinois in 1940.
