This 2"W ibex goat brooch has large shiny goldtone horns, a white rhinestone face & green eye. Marked craft for Gem-Craft ca 1970s. Beside a 5"H etched mountain goat glass paperweight by Cristal d'Arques of France ca 1980s

Cristal d’Arques made some lovely crystal and these paperweights are good! I love the ibex brooch, a sparkler, and it’s so beautifully modelled.
Gosh- these are so BEAUTIFUL! That brooch is gorgeous- Capricorns are a common theme in my family with my cousin, aunt and granddad all being Capricorns- the Ibex is wonderfully detailed too, especially his horns
The brooch is quite the eye catcher and the paperweight is beautiful.
I agree, a very clever way to display your pieces, Jenni. The goat reminds me of the RAM car hood ornament which I have collected also. Beautiful is the word on the street for these treasures !~

Karen thanks ever so much what a lovely compliment, I really enjoy doing the combo pieces and try to get a compatible duo like this one, and it's always nice to do it for a zodiac sign. Yes Cristal d'Arques always made such pretty things esp animals, the etching on this mountain goat gives it a softer, sweet face I think. The ibex brooch was a lucky auction find, it was the best mountain goat symbol I saw, very realistic look

One thing about Capricorn folks is their very witty dry sense of humor, I had a favorite Capricorn uncle who always made me smile with his funny remarks, boy do I miss him. These are good mountain goat examples I think, great detail and the brooch is quite alive looking

Hi Phil & very grateful for the super prais, I got in the habit of putting a couple of like subjects together and I still get very excited when I visualize a brooch that would look perfect with one of my glass pieces, but I try not to overdo it and am always delighted whenever you guys like my throw togethers :) I adore your beautiful hood ornaments & yes could see the ibex brooch on a RAM vehicle, he certainly looks like he wants to lead the way !
