Wow, it’s amazing that wonderful sign stood the “test of time”! Looks incredible for how old it is! And it goes perfect with your rare bottle collection. My Mom collected old bottles, dug for them. She once actually dug herself into a cave in my Uncle’s back yard. Years ago, as you well know, people just threw things out the back door in a hole. No garbage pick- up in those days! I hope you have those beauties insured Bill!’ Great hearing from ya!

Thanks Eileen for such a nice comment it is in pretty good shape considering the age yep they use to put their garbage in their privies people did not create as much garbage as they do today what did you do with your moms bottles

Sorry I haven’t been back for a while Bill.
I rarely leave Vintage Jewelry, gotta get over here more. I have a few, old crocks, and such, but through the years she gave them away, etc. Never was my thing at the time, ( I surfed) but she loved it! I have an old wine pint that both of us swear we found. It has embossed grapes and the color is amber. It was half buried in the ground, ( smooth side showing) and when I ( or she) picked it up and turned it over, it had beautiful grapes embossed on the other side, they just don’t make wine bottles like that anymore) Says wine oval on the bottom, not real old but the memory keeps me from getting rid of it. Ha!

Oh, and my Daughter lives 4 miles from me. I moved up to this rock to be close to my grandkids. Really thinking about selling, the weather is HOT in the summer, and FREEZING in the winter. And I miss the ocean, though it’s 15 minutes away. And yes, in my later youth I lived on an Apple Farm so yes, it is way too early for fruit to bud. And yes, we need rain, here comes another California drought:(

There are a few old bottles that are worth some good money with embossed grapes on them one is a square Catawba Wine Bitters worth a few grand and there are a few historical flasks worth a few hundred each but clor makes a big difference
So you were a little surfer girl you gotta have some pictures lets see them how far south are you from Redding man living on a rock has to be tough
Sure seems like another dry year this time last year I was still without power due to all the snow
