I have received these from a good friend many years ago and was told they originally belonged to her mother my friend was 86 there are so many varieties I am not sure what is what, if anybody could help it would be appreciated very much. They vary in size from 2.1/2” x 3 upto to boy in wooden frame being 5 1/2” x 4 1/4 “ I have been researching but can not find another on in a beautiful wooden frame as this.
Quite a few of the small wooden and leather backed photos are loose at the sides
    Many thanks in advance

Looks to be an English grouping. I don't see a daguerreotype on the grouping-- all look to be tintypes (on a sheet of iron) or ambrotypes (on glass).

Based on the wear pattern, the boy is an ambrotype.

Dating looks to be from about 1860s- 70s time period.

I'd be happy to answer any specific questions that you have.
