Just what I needed: One more vase! But this is alright because I started to give some away to my daughters and friends. And since my children have kind of moved out, I have more bedrooms than I can handle. I am trying, however, to narrow my collections down to what I really like. I love the huge pieces of glass, making up my little Sklo Union collection. I like the clean lines and the fact that they are actually perfect for what they are originally intended to do: Hold flowers! But I also love the sparkle of my American Brilliant Cut pieces (I have only posted some of them because it is so hard for me to identify the makers and lovely patterns) and I have a soft spot for everything Victorian.

This vase is in very good vintage condition. There is a little bit of wear on the gilding and some light scratches on the base, due to normal wear.

The vase appears to be handmade. There are no lines from molds. The top reminds me a bit of swung vases and the base has a polished pontil.

What attracted me to this vase is the etched decoration. Almost the whole vase is covered with delicate flowers (daisies?). It looks a lot more beautiful in real life than in the pictures.

I have not been able to identify the maker or the time period of the vase. Based on some similar examples, I would venture to say that my vase might date to the first decades of the 1900's. I hope to find out more about it.

Any comments or help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks for looking:)

Thanks so much for your comment, glassiegirl. The vase is so much nicer in real life. It is actually rather solid and heavy, not the way it looks.
