I have this small two-handled vase, matte green and burgundy. Blackish interior. It is marked with incised "17", several finely painted letters & numbers in brown, and an oval stamp: herein lies the problem ... the bluish stamp is illegibly blurry. I can't figure out who made this vase. But I'll bet some if you who are more expert than I will recognize the oval stamp mark. Appreciate your help. THANKS.

Could the word towards the bottom of the ink mark be “BELGIUM”?
    2. JoeyC, 10 months ago
Might be! Looks like a faint "M" perhaps. Thanks for your reply. I'll search for some "BELGIUM" pieces and see if I can match up the stamp mark. Thanks for your reply!

I think art.pottery is correct, here's a link to a post that I just did for you Joey:

      I hope this helps! :^)

Have a look. I posted an edited pic of the stamp. It looks like BELGIUM (?) distorted letters (?). I've looked at hundreds of Belgium pottery vases, can't find the shape or glaze ... a couple stamp marks but nothing even close ... NOT ONE has the brown ink markings (so typical of Austrian pottery). The footer rim does look typical of a lot of Thulin pieces, flattened and uneven.
