In response to Mrstyndall's request in ho2culthca's very cool post:

Here are some hasty images of a couple of walls in my house. Resolution not too good as it is night and my phone camera hates artificial light. This is maybe 15% of the stuff on my walls. Every room in my house, including bathroom, kitchen, etc. looks like this. Yes, I am a bachelor!

I think it would be really interesting to see how CWers display their collections. My method is obviously "Thrift Shop Chic", or, if you prefer Kevin's Mess. I have no idea how I will ever downsize this pile of stuff. Much of this is family heirlooms, so I can pass some on to family. I am also not really mad enough at any of my family to just die and leave them to sort this out so I have to do something. Someday..... Oh well, just going to have a glass of wine and not think about it.

    4. Newfld Newfld, 3 years ago
It's actually rather well organized Kevin, well to wall of your favorite things makes it very interesting! My stuff is still mostly in storage, we just got word we will be moving to a whole house by March, so I hope to have display cabinets of my glass in a few mos (right now it looks like a stacked warehouse lol)

@fortapache - Looking forward to it!

@ho2cultcha - Thank you very much! I love yours, too! Just joking about the descent into madness! Mwahaha!

@Toyrebel - It was meant in good fun. No one should feel pressured to "Show their mess". That being said, though.....

@Newfld - Thanks Jenni! Any semblance of order and planning was probably done subconsciously!

@Golgatha - LOL. I'll have to speak to my therapist about that, if I ever get one. I suspect they would diagnose me with PackRatItis, instead.

Thanks for loving my carefully organized mess blunderbuss2, Jenni, Thomas, Toyrebel, ho2cultcha, fortapache, Vynil33rpm and AnythingObscure!

Thank you so much for posting! Always like to see how others display their collections! I too love pictures and wall decor. You have many nice pieces! Very cool!! The room in my house that I have the most wall pics displayed is my laundry room, although I still have a little wall space in there. Thanks again!

Awesome! I have walls like that also.
    9. iggy iggy, 3 years ago
You still have some space on the door. lol
    10. kwqd kwqd, 3 years ago
@iggy - Thanks. I would love to see your walls! The door does not open very far as it goes into my spare/store room and I would brush against any paintings lower on the door as I enter and exit the room, so I stopped pretty high up on that door. Most of my doors are either blocked open or shut as opening and closing doors takes up a lot of space!

Knowing you it's all good stuff too Kevin.

Thanks Karen. I am told I "have a good eye". For a few years I had to travel a lot for work so had a service come in to care for my cats while I was away. The caretaker came to my house for an interview and was pretty stunned by my collections. From the outside, she said my house looked normal, unassuming, but like a museum inside. She asked if I would mind if she spent some time in my home to look at my collections while I was away. I showed where the tea was and told her to make herself at home.

Yeah, I am facing the process of cleaning up my mess. It won't be nearly as fun as making it was. Not looking forward to it. At all.

Great video! Thx. What a waste! What could he have accomplished if he had lived and didn't relapse? He was born two weeks after I was. Hard to picture him my age.

Well, I want to move to another state, eventually. Pretty sure no one is going to buy my house if they can't push the door open wide enough to squeeze inside.
    25. kwqd kwqd, 2 years ago
Dang! At about 15:55 he really digs in. I was listing to Skip James earlier this evening and I was having flashbacks to that album...
