This 2 1-4" goldtone brooch shows Aquarius the water bearer with a faux freshwater pearl, by 1970s designer PIM. Beside an 8 1-2" porcelain plate depicting two young water bearing girls in a scene from Kate Greenaway's 1880s January Aquarius almanac, from Royal Doulton & made in 1977

Thanks Thomas for the super comment, I LOVED the song Age of Aquarius as sung by the Fifth Dimension, believe it came out in the late 60s-early 70s. The lyrics were very astrology oriented ("when the moon is in the 7th house and Jupiter aligns with Mars" etc). We are now supposed to be living in the Aquarian age, which is heavily influenced by modern technology and mass communication, and what does that sound like - the internet! Fascinating stuff
